Naked Lunch: Naked Lunch isn’t what it used to be, but frankly it doesn’t matter. Gone are any traces of the literary homage to William S. Burroughs (not that its patrons seem to mind), but the crowd, music, drinks, and location are still scorching-hot. Always managing to stay ahead of the curve, the DJ spins fresh hip-hop and the drinks are au courant. (Say bye-bye to those tired appletinis.) During the sticky seasons, fresh air streams in through the open French windows and couches shaped like cul-de-sacs swing around the bar, offering ample view of some very sloppy dance moves. Always packed, it’s best to arrive on the early side if you even hope to get a seat. Happy hour is Tuesday-Friday from 5pm-9pm, with $2 off drinks. |
