Supreme Trading: When you’ve gotten sick of Manhattan, head eastward to Williamsburg’s art gallery/nightclub, Supreme Trading. Through an unmarked door the warehouse space is polished, though details are often lost in the dim candles and hanging phosphorescent lights. The two-floor layout—which includes a hidden billiards room on the mezzanine level—is comfortable any night, but first-timers are more likely coming for an exhibit or special DJ (local fave Tommie Sunshine has been known to stop by for a spin). Though it hosts art installations and other set-ups, most nights Supreme Trading’s ample side outdoor lounge has riser-like seating. It’s a trip down high school memory lane, only now you can smoke your cigarettes on the bleachers instead of under them. Happy hour is 5pm-9pm. |
